The first season of 1 Vs 100 LIVE, originally available back in July of this year, was commonly thought of as the beat testing phase for Microsoft’s latest Xbox LIVE initiative. While offering regular prizes for those lucky enough to find themselves chosen for participation in the Mob, or perhaps even chosen as “The One”, there was a distinct lack of statistics monitoring or those all-important Xbox 360 Achievements. The launch of 1 Vs 100 LIVE season two aims to change all that, offering a persuasive representation of the future of games shows.

 With the Akrid X and Red Eye having been revealed in new series of screenshots released by Capcom, Electronic Theatre brings you the final batch of images revealing some of Lost Planet 2’s boss encounters, the Gordiant (aka Salanader). Lost Planet 2 is set for release in early 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a demo version is available now on both formats.

With the release date rapidly approaching, Ubisoft have released a new video showcasing the upcoming James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, based upon James Cameron’s forthcoming 3D motion-picture event of the same name. James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is due for release in the UK on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable (PSP) early next month.

Frogster Interactive is running a fund-raising promotion in collaboration with the children’s rights organisation ‘Save the Children Deutschland e.V.’ in their free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), Runes of Magic. The publisher has announced that approximately 11,000 Euros have already come in for children in adversity.

Remakes of videogames from yesteryear are hardly scarce in the modern videogame industry, and revivals of franchises long-thought dead are becoming more commonplace also. Coming from David Crane, the developer accredited with the original Pitfall titles, A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia was released in 1991 across Europe on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and was met with a welcoming response at retail. A sequel followed later in that same year for the Game Boy, known as David Crane's The Rescue of Princess Blobette, and now in 2009, Nintendo’s Wii receives it’s own A Boy and His Blob release.

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that Rogue Warrior is now available at retail stores across Europe for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows. Rogue Warrior, a character-driven first-person shooter featuring real-life American Navy Seal Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko, offers an action-packed single-player campaign as well as intense multiplayer combat.

Following the leak of new information concerning new characters set to be included in the forthcoming Super Street Fighter IV earlier this week, Capcom Europe have today released new official screenshots for Guy, Cody and Adon. Super Street Fighter IV is due for a retail release early next year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and is currently suggested to arrive at a budget price.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 grossed a record £67.4 million within it’s first week of retail availability in the UK alone, but it doesn’t seem as though publisher Activision or developer Infinity Ward are yet done with record breaking title. It has been revealed that the publisher has committed to delivering Downloadable Content (DLC) for the game on all formats, an effort that could prove to be very lucrative.
