For
those who’ve played the critically acclaimed Advance Wars
series on the Game Boy Advance, Advance Wars: Dual Strike is
probably more important than turkey this Christmas. For the
uninitiated, Advance Wars is an exceptional turn based
strategy game i n which you wage war against the evil Black Hole
army with an expansive arsenal of jets, tanks, troops and much
more.
Having appeared in many guises in the east, much like
sister-series Fire Emblem, Advance Wars: Dual Strike
is only the third edition of the series to be released in the
UK
, but its
undeniable quality is no doubt going to poise Nintendo for a more
rapid expansion.
Commanding
Officers gain experience as they fight, which in turn can be used
to purchase skills allowing for extensive customization. Advance
Wars: Dual Strike takes all of the great features from the
original Game Boy Advance titles and adds Touch Screen control and
an extra screen for even more explosive mayhem.
Introducing new weapons, such as the Piperunner and
Megatank, new Commanding Officers and Maps, as well as the ability
to use dual COs, Tag Powers and even create your own Maps
with the Stylus, Advance Wars: Dual Strike is an essential
purchase for any self respecting NintendoDS owner.
