Electronic Theatre Special Report: NintendoDS Christmas 2005 Line-Up:

Kirby: Power Paintbrush

Kirby’s back for his first outing on Nintendo’s handheld wonder in Kirby: Power Paintbrush. This 2D platform game utilizes the Touch Screen more extensively than most titles as players will guide Kirby’s plight to vanquish an evil Witch by using theElectronic Theatre Image Stylus to draw Rainbow Lines on the Touch Screen. These Rainbow Lines can be used to guide Kirby’s movement as ramps, barriers, and loops in an interesting twist on the classic Platform system.

As is the norm in Kirby titles, Kirby can steal his enemy’s abilities and use them against them. Boss Battles are also a little different, taking the form of entertaining mini-games that can be replayed at any time. Kirby: Power Paintbrush features many different modes and challenges such as Time Trial, Story Mode and much more. Completing Story Mode is just the start as Kirby: Power Paintbrush has a wealth of unlockable items. Featuring crisp 2D graphics and bouncy music, this title is great for NintendoDS fans of all ages – check out the Electronic Articles US review on the link below!
