Remember
how much fun Sonic the Hedgehog was on the
Mega Drive
? Well it seems
SEGA do too. Back in 2D, with 3D visual effects for his first
venture onto the NintendoDS, Sonic Rush pledges to take Sonic
back to his high velocity roots.
Moving
at incredible speeds, using the dual screens of the NintendoDS to
create a larger play area, Sonic will be able to spring up and fall
seamlessly through both screens and paves the way for some inventive
Boss Battles, as well as multiple routes through levels. Sonic is
joined this time around by an original character Blaze the Cat -
Queen of another realm, as he endeavours to locate the powerful Sol
Emeralds before they fall into the hands of evil. Blaze is fully
playable and her story will, at times, intertwine with Sonic’s to
create the classic Sonic formula. Selected game play modes will
include Stylus support for innovative controls and with all of these
new features it’s easy to see how Sonic Rush could be a
real contender for the coveted title of ‘Best Sonic Game
Ever’, well, we’ll find out on
Friday 18th November, 2005
