Electronic Theatre Special Report: E3 2005: Game Boy Advance

With all the hype surrounding the PSP and NintendoDS – and the all new Game Boy Micro – you’d be forgiven for thinking that the Game Boy Advance had a poor showing. You’d be forgiven, but you’d still be wrong. With the Game Boy Micro playing all Game Boy Advance games, there’s still tons of software to come for the format – all being displayed on Game Boy AdvanceSP’s. Dozens of original titles were displayed at Nintendo’s booth and the rest of the show was literally littered with Game Boy Advance spectacles, with the quantity of software on display only being outdone by the PlayStation2.

Having now been on the market for four years, the Electronic Theatre Image Game Boy Advance has been pushed further and further – now capable of presenting decent quality 3D graphics, hot properties such as Sigma Star Saga, Riviera: The Promised Land, Herby: Fully Loaded and the quite stunning Mario Tennis were all fully playable. As ever, the top titles at the show are in glorious details for you below, whilst we have every Game Boy Advance title on show for you covered. There’s much more to come from this little beauty – so don’t start trading that Game Boy AdvanceSP in just yet!
