Electronic Theatre Special Report: E3 2005: PlayStation Portable

While the Japanese and US audiences have been tapping-away at their PlayStation Portable’s (PSP) for some months now, the UK is still waiting to witness the European launch. As revealed by the Electronic Theatre on the 26th April, 2005 , the European launch has been delayed till the 1st September, 2005 . However, this didn’t stop SONY putting up quite a showing for the PSP.

Although actually finding the software companies were showing was often a chore, there were plenty of announcements from companies showing their support for the system, with some key titles being playable.

Many future releases included, as little surprise, Electronic Theatre Image plenty of PlayStation2 ports. However, the big titles come in the form of Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Death Jr., Infected, Coded Arms and, as no surprise, the stunning MediEvil Resurrection. With a UMD launch of Final Fantasy: Advent Children still on the cards – although there was not even a trailer for the conversion to be found – Lords Of Dogtown, HellBoy, Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol.2 may not be feeling lonely on the shop shelves for too long.
