Electronic Theatre Special Report:
The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess
Delayed
|
The
following press release, which will undoubtedly be the most
important piece of news for Nintendo fans since last year's
NintendoDS announcement, came in moments ago. Although, as usual, you
can guarantee that this decision has not been made lightly –
especially being Nintendo’s only real contender for the coveted
Christmas No.1 spot – it will not doubt reaffirm many fans
opinions of Nintendo being able to disappoint in equal measure as
to they please, and be a harsh reminder of the delay suffered by
the titles predecessor, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

NoE ZELDA STATEMENT – Aug. 16, 2005
Our development team has decided to take extra time to add some
incredible new elements to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
As a result, the game will now launch in 2006 globally. We
recognize there may be some disappointed fans, however we firmly
believe this additional time will result in a much more enjoyable
gaming experience. GameCube fans will have a variety of Nintendo
games to choose from this Christmas, including Mario Smash
Football, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Pokémon
XD: Gale of Darkness.
