After years of being classed as simply a bit of fun, it would seem
videogames are finally getting a little recognition for their
artistic merit. The first BAFTA Video Game Awards Ceremony was held
last night at London’s Roundhouse and hopefully
signals the start of increased acknowledgment for the designers of
the titles we have come to know and love. The event was hosted by
Vernon Kay and featured a variety of awards including prizes for
Innovation, Technical Achievement and Gameplay. For those
interested, the Ceremony will be shown on E4 on October 17th, 2006. Now, without further ado,
