E3 2006: Xbox360

With Microsoft’s Next-Generation machine having already hit the shelves, the E3 2006 announcements have been pretty thin-on-the-ground. Some may think this is a veryElectronic Theatre Image bad move – almost a death-knell in the face of such adversities from Nintendo and SONY – however others, namely those already owning the machine, will see this as a pure blessing. The simple reason for this: games.

While Nintendo may have twenty-seven Wii titles playable and SONY have whipped-up a PlayStation3 frenzy, Microsoft are content to keep their stand flooded with games, lots of games. First-Party production is at full-throttle with titles such as Forza Motorsport 2, Crackdown, Viva Piñata, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Mobile Ops: The One Year War, Ninety-Nine Nights, Shadowrun, Too Human and, of course, Halo 3, supported by the likes of Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions, Dead Rising, F.E.A.R., Enchanted Arms, Frontlines: Fuel Of War, Saints Row, Hitman: Blood Money and Chrome Hounds from Third-Parties.

And it doesn’t stop there. With the only format competing for biggest showing being the NintendoDS, the Xbox360 certainly has all the numbers in the right place. Whether or not the quantity translates into quality, however, remains to be seen: check below for all the latest information all the biggest Xbox360 titles on show at E3 2006.
