Electronic Theatre Special: Sales Chart

Week Ending 10th November, 2006.

It’s yet another week of high-tuned supercars this week, with Need For Speed: Carbon dominating the Top 10 for second week running. Closely following areElectronic Theatre Image two new releases, THQ’s big-sweaty-men simulator WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2007 and the newest edition to Activision’s visceral WWII First-Person Shooter series, Call Of Duty 3. The UK continues it’s love for the beautiful game this week with Pro Evolution Soccer 6 at four, just squeezing ahead of its biggest rival FIFA 07.

The king of the casual games, The Sims 2, continues to earn EA mountains of cash, with it’s latest expansion still holding a Top 10 spot at six. Every kids favourite, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, remains solid this week, falling only one place to seven. Still a favourite with casual gamers every where, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy re-enters the Top 10, this time rising to eight. The undisputed masters of historical simulation, The Creative Assembly, score yet again with Medieval II: Total War, entering this week at nine. Although it may lack the staying power of Grand Theft Auto, Canis Canem Edit still holds on to a respectable position, rounding out the Top 10. The teens look much the same as they always do, a mish-mash of falling stars and new entries, complete with the obligatory appearance of Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain?. Two newbies enter the chart this week, Nintendo’s intermediate Pokemon offering, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team at fourteen, and the terrifying Xbox360 adaptation of F.E.A.R. at twenty.
