Electronic Theatre Special Report: THQ Announce Unique Cross Save Feature

Electronic Theatre ImageTHQ have announced an innovative design feature that links multiple titles in THQ's Nickelodeon line-up for the PlayStation2, enabling expanded gameplay and special features for consumers who own more than one of the titles to experience expanded gameplay elements and special features. The games that incorporate this special Cross Save feature include Tak: The Great Juju Challenge, Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera PANTS!, Nicktoons Unite! and Barnyard - based on Paramount Pictures'/Nickelodeon Movies' upcoming film.

"THQ is thrilled to provide such a unique opportunity to reward fan loyalty," said John Ardell, director, global brand management, THQ. "The Cross Save feature offers consumers an opportunity to experience added playability in THQ's Nickelodeon titles on PlayStation2."

The Cross Save featureElectronic Theatre Image follows a three-tiered approach. When the Memory Card accessory for the PlayStation2 detects one of the other three saved Nickelodeon games for the first time, a new tier of bonus content will be unlocked for each game. Players will be able to access different costumes, more health, magic ability, vehicles, and much more.

Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, PANTS!, and Nicktoons Unite! are now available, Tak: The Great Juju Challenge is due for launch on March 3rd, 2006, and Barnyard is expected to be available in the second-half of 2006.
