Boulder Dash-ROCKS! Gets European Release

Electronic Arts and 10TACLE STUDIOS AG announced they have signed a distribution agreement to release Boulder Dash-ROCKS! across Europe this holiday. The modern remake of this Electronic Theatre Imagecult classic is currently in development at 10TACLE STUDIOS MOBILE in Duisburg for the NintendoDS and PSP. Through the agreement, Electronic Arts will distribute the title across Europe and 10TACLE STUDIOS AG will be responsible for marketing and PR activities.

Jörg Rohrer, Business Development Director at Electronic Arts Germany on the new edition of the famous diamond hunt, “We are incredibly pleased with the new approach the 10TACLE STUDIOS has taken on the classic Boulder Dash brand. The game has been immensely popular throughout the years and offers an enormous amount of variety for a fun, casual digital gaming experience.”

10TACLE STUDIOS AG Marketing & Sales Director, Frank Holz said, “With Boulder Dash-ROCKS! we are continuing our thoroughly positive partnership with Electronic Arts in Europe. We are extremely pleased with the seal of quality this cooperation represents for us and are looking forward to a successful holiday season release.”

This tricky puzzle and dexterity game made its debut in the early 1980’s and continues to fascinate its large fanbase making it a classic in the history of interactive entertainment. Now Boulder Dash is back with a hot new look to take the NintendoDS and the SONY PSP platforms by storm. The hit game principle remains unchanged: players have to collect sparkling diamonds while avoiding numerous traps and beating opponents to reach them.

In addition to the classic Single-Player Mode taking players through different game worlds, Boulder Dash-ROCKS! now offers a new Multi-Player Mode and three additional play modes, as well as two new game modes custom designed for the different platforms, modes never seen before in a Boulder Dash game.
