The
Electronic Articles team has always been dedicated to
bringing you all the vital information we can in order to keep you
up-to-date with the latest
news
in our ever-changing and evolving industry. As such, it should be no
surprise to our regular readers that we jumped at the opportunity to
play some of the Wii’s upcoming titles at the Nintendo House, on
John Street in London. As an invitation-only event, the Nintendo
House presents some of the finest new Nintendo games in a casual
environment, and is decked-out top-to-bottom with Nintendo’s latest
consoles, Wii and NintendoDS Lite.
At first impression the Nintendo House seems, at least from the
outside, a normal middle-class house in a fairly normal district of
London. It’s tall and thin with many floors, all of which a
simulation of a normal family house – at least, Nintendo’s
interpretation anyway. Unlike many sites of such events, the house
does not overly advertise Nintendo, with only a few windows and
pictures hinting at the nature of the venue and little on the
outside to distinguish it. However, not every family house sports a
multitude of large LCD Televisions in almost every room, all of
which for the exclusive use of Wii. Although the house was far too
clean to be the residence of any serious gamer, it isn’t one of
those unfeasibly tidy minimalist numbers seen in the majority of
furniture adverts, rather an altogether cosier affair.
Anyway, enough of that,
Electronic Theatre is not an Estate
Agent, it’s a videogames site! Titles on display this time around
included the wacky
WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the frantic
ExciteTruck and to a lesser
extent,
the surgeon’s favourite, Trauma Center: Second Opinion.
Orange juice and biscuits in hand, the zealous Electronic
Articles crew began upon their great mission, to play Wii’s
upcoming titles and give our honest opinion on them, unfettered by
bias or PR pressure. Yes, we truly are that heroic.
Many of you may already have witnessed our In-depth Reviews of both
ExciteTruck and
WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and we’ve
still got our exclusive preview of the sublimely subtitled
Trauma
Center: Second Opinion to come, but for the mean time, I’m sure
every Nintendo fan will happily indulge themselves with these
fantastic views of what would almost certainly be their dream house. |
