A new week and another new number one, this time the first Expansion
Pack for the Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Game
juggernaut, World Of Warcraft.
As many might have guessed,
World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade has sold quite well,
accounting for thirty-percent of all PC software sales for the week. Capcom’s Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is still selling
well, holding on to second place followed by last week’s number two,
WarioWare: Smooth Moves, at three. The battle for the
minds and wallets of football fans continues, with FIFA 07
and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 still neck-and-neck at four and
five respectively. Surprisingly, World Snooker Championship 2007
advances spectacularly, this week up an impressive eleven places to
six. Slowly but surely, Need For Speed: Carbon is on the way
out, down another two to seven while Call Of Duty 3 makes a
last ditch assault on the Top 10, up two to nab eighth place. The
last Top 10 EA title, The Sims 2: Pets, resides at nine
followed by Rockstar Game’s Canis Canem Edit at ten.
Much the same as usual, there isn’t much to report in the teens.
There are no new releases, but this week heralds a substantial fall
for two premier AAA titles, likely due to userbase saturation. Both
Gears Of War and
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
have dropped in sales significantly, the former down eight to
seventeen, whilst the latter descends six to fourteen. It’s not all
bad for Nintendo however, likely due to stock replenishment,
Wii
Play rises eight to eleven. |
