The NintendoDS stood-up this year, and forced those
present to recognise Nintendo still had big plans for the world’s
best selling console, despite ever-present rumours of a successor.
Continuously referred to throughout the financial speak, as with
Wii, having an abundance of numbers strewn throughout, it wasn’t til
the later-half of the Media Briefing that onlookers were shown any
new software.
Guitar Hero: On Tour: Decades was the first title
to be shown, along with Spore Creatures. Pokemon Ranger:
Shadows of Almia was announced for a fourth quarter release in
the US, to no-one’s surprise, and Grand Theft Auto: China Town
Wars, as a complete shock.
A series of US-exclusive Hot Spot features were
announced, such as the ability to check which Gate your flight is
leaving from at airports and checking the scores of other games when
at a live American Football match, followed by the announcement of
Cooking Guide: Can’t Decide What To Eat?’s US roll-out.
More figures followed before the Media Briefing closed,
leaving the NintendoDS with plenty of figures, and few games. The
show floor is a different story however, as you can see through
those links below. |
