Tales of Vesperia,
the tenth “major” title in the Tales series, being developed
by Namco Tales Studio and published by Namco Bandai, release is set
for
August
in North America and Japan, and 2009 in Europe, exclusively on
Xbox360.
The
games main character is Yuri, in a world reliant on ancient
technology known as Blastia. As with all in Tales series you
can expect a dark plot with plenty of twists to keep you interested,
along with changes to the trademark Real-Time Combat System. Players
will fight in massive battlefields as opposed to the usual five or
so enemies on-screen in the previous Tales titles and make
use of unique powers and Finishing Moves, most likely flashy and
full of particle effects.
So far
it looks like there are no XboxLIVE! features, they may well
add some in last minute, but there’s no chance of a major feature.
All that was seen at E3 were a few minutes of battle and some
walking around, but the battling and combat and world arena do look
fantastic. It looks like another epic addition to the Tales
ensemble, but we’ll have to wait a while to see whether or not
Tales of Vesperia is a worthy purchase for RPG fans. |
