Who wants to be a MillionHeir? It's up to you to find out as
Mystery Case Files comes to NintendoDS!
Do you have a keen eye for details? Fancy testing your skills of
deduction? In Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, released
across Europe on 6th February 2009, you turn DS
detective, scouring a myriad of mysterious scenes for cleverly
hidden items and unveiling the storyline to determine who's guilty
of the crime.
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir is a simple but addictive
observation game designed exclusively for the portable NintendoDS.
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir combines a fun mystery
storyline with seek-and-solve puzzles to create an adventure that
can be enjoyed by everyone.
Following a classic murder mystery storyline - with a witty
undertone that will appeal to all ages - the game sees the player
become a detective who must use his eagle eyes to scrutinise
detailed locations, spot clues and find items that will lead to the
identity of the heir to a grand manor and a financial fortune. Each
place the player visits may seem, at first glace, to be quite
normal, but a sleuth's job is to look beyond immediate
impressions... With closer inspection they will discover
inventively hidden items in the background.
The player is presented with a list of items to look for using the
Touch Screen. Often the item on the list requires lateral thinking.
Does a "Spade" mean you should seek a small shovel, for example? Or
does it mean the suit from playing cards, perhaps the Ace of
Spades? If the player-detective's instincts are right he might be
able to locate the item and by simply tapping it on the Touch Screen
to collect it.
As the player investigates different locations and spots hidden
items and clues, the storyline develops. Later in the game, the
player will be able to use tools to open up different challenges,
such as having to use a torch to see in a dark location or blowing
into the NintendoDS's microphone to put out fires that may conceal
hidden items.
For the real super sleuths there are timed "search and find"
sections which increase in difficulty and test a players observation
skills to the limit, and with the added ability to challenge up to
four other friends or family, across the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection,
there's hours of fun to be had!
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir is developed by Big Fish Games and
published by Nintendo, and arrives in Europe on 6th
