Rising Star Games: No More Heroes Reception & Harvest Fishing Delay Explained

The votes have been cast and the results are in. Rising Star Games is proud to announce that No More Heroes has received consistent recognition inElectronic Theatre Image the annual game of the year round-ups. Winning several awards for game design, story and visuals in the Nintendo Wii category of several awards, No More Heroes also made the top ten in many publications’ “Games of 2008” and was nominated for many more, including Nintendo Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks. No More Heroes also benefited from being the top pick in two Electronic Theatre feature series this year - Unsung Heroes and The Twelve Games of Christmas - a feat which no other game can claim.

“This has been a standout year for No More Heroes and Rising Star Games,” said Martin Defries, Rising Star Games managing director. “We’ve had fantastic critical reception for NMH from the start; to be nominated in so many categories and place in the top ten in many polls proves how well a third party title can do on the Wii if you get it right. We’re all really excited to see the next step up in NMH2!”

Tempering this good news slightly, Mr. Defries goes on to address an outstanding issue for another Rising Star Games release: "Unfortunately Rising Star Games has had to temporarily remove Harvest Fishing DS from our new title release schedule. The Japanese development studio has struggled to fix the required Nintendo Wi-Fi features with the latest code submission and needs further time to resolve these issues. We are optimistic that the next submission of the game will be successful and that the game will be released in the next few months. However, to avoid further disappointment it is best not to announce, yet another, suggested release date; instead we will wait for successful approval of game code and then fix a secure release date.

“We appreciate your patience with the extraordinary delays to this title."
