Early promotional plans for Ubisoft’s highly-anticipated Assassin’s Creed 2 are set to be ramped-up a notch this weekend, as a new trailer is set to debut on broadcast network Five.
With a teaser campaign having already begun, the game’s first “full trailer” is set to premiere this weekend, during Five’s broadcast of The Da Vinci Code. The teaser trailer will reportedly air first, before a brand new trailer will aggressively push awareness of one of the hottest tips for 2009 videogame releases.
Talking to MCV, Jan Sanghera, brand manager of Assassin Creed 2, commented: “The campaign has been running since last Monday, with teaser spots appearing around all promotional advertising for The Da Vinci Code and appearing around programs such as the Gadget Show, CSI and Reservoir Dogs.”
Assassin’s Creed was originally released in November 2007 and despite mixed reviews, was a resounded access at retail eventually selling in excess of six million units across Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION3, PC, Nintendo DS and mobile formats.
Electronic Theatre will bring you more news on Assassin’s Creed 2 as it happens.
