Kalypso Media have today announced that the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed Tropico 3 (PC and Xbox 360) and the latest instalment in the famed Race series, RACE On (PC) will both launch this Friday, 13th November in the UK.

Developed by Haemimont Games, the team behind the highly entertaining Ceville from earlier this year, Tropico 3 sees you take charge of your very own Caribbean island as the newly installed ‘El Presidente’. How you run your country is down to you – do you turn Tropico into a vacation paradise, a police state or a modern industrial nation? The choice is yours but whatever your decision you will always have to defend your actions before your people.

Tropico 3 includes a robust set of new features, including a powerful new mission editor, an online challenge mode and a new avatar function that allows playersElectronic Theatre Image to customise their own unique "El Presidente." Once created, the new ruler is free to travel the island giving speeches, issuing edicts and exerting other means of influence.

A comprehensive campaign mode features eighteen different missions, while a challenge editor (PC version), new buildings, industries and infrastructure provide players with a wide array of options for hours of in-depth gameplay. User generated content will be available via DLC for Xbox360 players to further the experience.

RACE On is the latest game from the Swedish racing sim supremos SimBin Studios. PC players can race thirty-nine meticulously reproduced vehicles that are available in over four-hundred and fifty designs. Twenty-seven variants of twenty-one racing tracks guarantee hours of challenging racing fun. Apart from Imola and Okayama, glamorous raceways such as Laguna Seca, Road America, Sturup and Karlskoga also feature on the impressive list of tracks. Drivers can competeElectronic Theatre Image against up to twenty-four Artificial Intelligence (AI) drivers in the seventeen different race classes, and can of course burn rubber against real players online.

The new Dual Ghost mode offers players two ghost opponents to help improve both your own lap times and those of your opponent. A realistic physics engine and a dynamic weather system that can change during a race, provides a totally authentic race atmosphere. Compulsory pit stops in the STCC races add an extra tactical component to the already exhilarating game play experience.

Both titles will be released in the UK on 13th November with Tropico 3 launching on PC DVD (RRP £29.99) and Xbox360 (RRP £39.99) and RACE On will be released on PC DVD (RRP £29.99). Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest from Kalypso Media.
