Mastertronic have sneakily repackaged Eidos Interactive’s Thief series, and set it on the trail of European retail shelves behind the darkness of shadows. Including three titles from the critically acclaimed series, Thief: The Complete Collection is available across Europe now.
Slip into the world of Garrett, the greatest thief the world has never seen, in Thief: The Complete Collection, which comprises of Thief Gold Edition (1999), Thief II: The Metal Age (2000) and Thief: Deadly Shadows (2004). Thief Gold Edition is an enhance version of the first title, featuring three extra maps and several bug fixes.
Both the original release and it’s sequel were originally develop at Looking Glass Studios. After the studio went out of business in 2000, many former employees moved to Ion Storm Austin and began developing the long-anticipated third part of the series, Thief: Deadly Shadows. Eidos Montreal was subsequently given the reins for Thief 4, which is reportedly in the early stages of development at present.
All three titles in the collection were welcomed by the gaming public, and with Thief: The Complete Collection now available for only £9.99, Electronic Theatre can’t see any reason why the series shouldn’t become a hit once again.
