Tecmo Koei Europe has announced the release date for the forthcoming PlayStation Portable (PSP) exclusive title, Undead Knights. Presenting a very unique mechanic on the PSP system, Undead Knights is sure to be riding high on the “most wanted” lists of the consoles hardcore gaming fanbase.

Playing as the anti-hero Ramus Blood, players will rage through the wrath of fearless enemies and build the nastiest and most profane army you can think of in this Puzzle-Action game - prepare to wash the mouth of your army with soap as they can't help but engage in zombie bashing. If you can deal with the gut-wrenching, smack-talking, fluid-spitting, and limb amputating ways of your army, you can embark on your journey of vengeance to defeat the king.

Players will create their own undead army from their defeated enemies, issues commands with intuitive controls. Demanding your army attack greater enemies and puzzle solving using their numbers, players will battle through twenty arenas fighting screen-filling bosses.

In addition to a well presented single-player campaign, which in Electronic Theatre’s recent hands-on preview was suggested to be “one of the most unique gaming propositions currently on the console’s release schedule”, Undead Knights includes an ad-hoc multi-player mode, with three different gameplay options available; the most popular of which will no doubt become the Zombie Pillow Fight mode.

Undead Knights is the first title from Temco Koei to be released on both a UMD for PSP system and by digital download for the PSP Go system in North America, and the same is expected for the UK release when it arrives on February 26th 2010. To celebrate the announcement of a release date, Tecmo Koei Europe have released a number of brand new screenshots, which you can see here on this very page, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.
