As if an attempt to offer some slight compensation for the delay in the European release of Top Gun for the PlayStation Network, a new high-definition desktop (HD) wallpaper has been made available. Featuring the key art that has been used to promote Paramount Digital Entertainment and Doublesix Studios’ upcoming game in various publications, the Top Gun HD wallpaper is available just below for free.

            Following the all-new trailer revealing the Karma Powers in the upcoming console adaptations of The Sims 3, Electronic Arts has revealed a handful of new screenshots taken from the game. Set for release this October, The Sims 3 is being developed for consoles by the same studio responsible for the original, critically-acclaimed PC debut.

            With Gamescom taking place in Cologne this week, a number of high profile publishers are revealing more details on their late 2010/early 2011 line-up, and Electronic Arts are no different. Expected to be playable on the show floor, Dead Space 2 will undoubtedly be a highlight for many attendees. However, Electronic Arts hasn’t forgotten those who can’t be there, revealing an all-new new batch of screenshots taken from the game.

            A new batch of screenshots for the forthcoming Gran Turismo 5 has arrived at Electronic Theatre, via a somewhat bizarre route. Distributed to retailers for use in competitions and other promotional activities, these new screens don’t feature quite the same scale of their earlier counterparts, but are nonetheless impressive.
