Electronic Arts’ The Saboteur is looking more intriguing each time we see it, and today’s new screenshots are not about to break that rule. Originally suggested for release across Europe on December 4th, 2009, current speculation suggests that Pandemic’s latest may be pushed back into 2010, but that won’t stop those eagerly awaiting the highly stylised espionage action from salivating over these new images.
In The Saboteur, Pandemic Studios invites you to fight, climb, and race your way through a uniquely stylized version of Nazi-occupied France, and hunt down your sworn enemies who have taken everything from you. Enter the seedy underground world of a saboteur living in 1940’s Paris, where the women are sexy, the missions are epic, and the revenge is satisfying.
Playing as Sean Devlin, a street-tough Irish racing mechanic seeking personal redemption, it’s time for payback. With the help of the French Resistance, British intelligence, an arsenal of weaponry, and your own street smarts and brawn, you must exact revenge on those who aimed to destroy your life. Motivated by retribution and armed with tactics of sabotage, blow up zeppelins, derail trains, implode bridges, destroy armoured tanks, and level enemy facilities in the name of vengeance.
The Saboteur is currently in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest on this exciting prospect.
