In recent months a lot has been made out of Microsoft’s suggestion that the forthcoming Xbox 360 full-body motion-control system, Kinect, would require the player to stand up to 10’ away from the device. With most average living rooms in the UK being pushed to provide such a distance without moving furniture, some fears had developed for the plausibility of playing Kinect at home. Less attention however, has been paid to the PlayStation Move’s required distance, recommended within the launch software as being no less than 8’.

Konami Digital Entertainment today announced it will release a free demo of its forthcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 on 15^th September 2010, with subscribers to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s (SCEE) PlayStation+ service able to play the demo from 8th September 2010. The demo will be available for PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network with a PC version available from www.konami-pes2011.com.

Just Add Water (JAW) has announced the return of the critically-acclaimed Oddworld series - with an enhanced remake of the award-winning Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath coming to PlayStation 3 next Easter. Originally released in 2005, first- and third-person action-adventure Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath marks the multi-million-selling series’ first appearance on a PlayStation console since 1998’s Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus. The game will be made available as a digital download via PlayStation Network.

            Paramount Digital Interactive and Doublesix Studios has announced the official European release date for the highly-anticipated Top Gun. Set to hit PlayStation Network later this month, Top Gun will be available for £7.99/€9.99.
