Details of the European Special Edition of the PLAYSTATION 3’s highly-anticipated exclusive release inFamous have begun to trickle through today, thanks to the UK’s independent retail sector.

            As opposed to the Play.com exclusive Uncharted 2 Beta Access Code – suggested an external offering currently, rather than containing details within the package – gamers eager to get their hands on some extra inFamous action can now pre-order the Special Edition from independent UK videogame stockists. Included in the bundle is a set of limited edition postcards, as well as a comic book based on the game. The most rewarding addition, however, may well be the Special Edition Promotion Code that grants you access to an exclusive super power. Exactly what this power is remains a mystery, and opinions currently range from an ability that is unlockable during the course of the game (after a series of extended mission objectives) to an entirely new power only available in this Special Edition package. Electronic Theatre has reservations about the latter, but no doubt the package will be enticing to PLAYSTATION 3 owners with whatever super powers it may contain.
