Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) have updated the details on the recently release Blu-ray edition of PlayStation Network title, Pain. Originally available in download form only, SCEE offered Pain as a full retail release on Friday, 26th June 2009, with a number of additions.
If you're new to the game, the concept is painfully simple - launch your poor helpless character from a giant catapult into a number of environments, to cause as much damage as possible through collisions, wrecks and accidents. The Blu-ray release includes the original full game, along with new modes Fortress, a multiplayer mode in which you must knock down enemy castles with dynamite and explosive teddy bears, Darts and Fun with Explosives, in which you must launch yourself in an attempt to detonate as many explosives as possible.
Up to four players can play simultaneously online, and the title is now available for retail purchase with a Recommended Retail Price of only £19.99. Pain was received well when released on PlayStation Network, and there’s little to suggest this won’t transfer to its full retail release. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated.
