The Code Monkeys have announced this morning that their forthcoming WiiWare release, Manic Monkey Mayhem, has received a new release date. After a delay was revealed last week a promise was given that the game would arrive on Nintendo’s digital distribution service shortly, and that new release date was announced for this Friday, November 6th 2009, a few minutes ago.
Manic Monkey Mayhem can be played with a Wii Balance Board across the single-player modes, and in addition you play against up to three of your friends and family in either local multi-player or via Nintendo Wi-Fi across a variety of game modes. Players control one of eight finely honed monkeys and do battle with up to seven other simians. Positioned on a small podium, separated from your opponents via a series of six floating breakable wooden crates which contain power-ups and ammunition, players will use their zen-like banana flinging skills to chip away at their opponents’ lives by knocking them off their podiums, with the overall aim to be the last one standing and be crowned king or queen of all the monkeys.
Manic Monkey Mayhem will also be releasing on Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) as a PSP Mini, Nintendo DSiWare and iPhone at a later date. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated.
