Electronic Theatre ImageWhy get muddy when you can get DiRTy? With forty of the world’s hottest bands, nine international locations and one hundred amazing off-road events, Colin McRae: DiRT 2 is set to be one of the hottest festival tickets this year. Gamers can today get their first real taste of the game’s international events as Codemasters revealed the E3 2009 gameplay teaser video, available just below.

From multi award-winning developer, Codemasters Racing Studio, Colin McRae: DiRT 2 builds on the acclaimed career mode of the best-selling original with the introduction of the “DiRT 2 World Tour”. Alive with vibrancy and colour and packed with attitude, this extreme sports festival takes in nine stunning locations around the world, each with a unique flavour that brings the very best of modern off-roading together into one engrossing, highly personalised racing experience.

Accompanied by fifty drivers, including Ken Block, Tanner Faust, Dave Mirra and Travis Pastrana, players will take part in one hundred events, each partnered with some of the smartest brands around. As players travel to the international each location on the DiRT 2 World Tour, they’ll park up at international race festivals that are packed with noise and atmosphere, with hundreds of people in attendance and bands playing live sets on nearby stages.

As the video showcases, the action out on the track is hotter than ever too. With peerless visuals and lightning fast racing thrills, Colin McRae: DiRT 2’s drivers will be put through their paces in a variety of contemporary racing disciplines, including rally, rallycross and raid.

Colin McRae: DiRT 2 powerslides into stores this September for the Xbox 360, the PLAYSTATION 3 and Games For Windows – LIVE!, Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. Electronic Theatre will bring you more details direct from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) later this week.

I had been thinking that a racing game would be quite good to add to the collection, could this be the best one to get, when it comes out?
