Tropico 3 is now available across Europe on Xbox 360 and Games for Windows PC, and to celebrate publisher Kalypso Media has released a brand new trailer. The launch trailer for Tropico 3 shows the rather brutal history behind the island of Tropico, and the development of a modern financial system. Now, with a lessening military presence and thriving tourist economy, it’s up to you where Tropico goes next.
Tropico 3 is a management simulation game that tasks the player with taking charge of their very own Caribbean island as the newly installed ‘El Presidente’. How you run your country is down to you - do you turn Tropico into a vacation paradise, a police state or a modern industrial nation? The choice is yours but whatever your decision you will always have to defend your actions before your people.
Tropico 3 presents two new milestones in Kalypso Media’s videogame publishing history, not only does it claim the honour of being the very first console title from the publisher, but also marks their entrance into the North American market. Further to this, Tropico 3 will also bring the debut of user-created content to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, with the best creations from the Challenge Editor included within the PC version set to be made available to Xbox 360 gamers.
The Xbox 360 release of Tropico 3 has been developed by Haemimont Games in Bulgaria, the team who are also responsible for the development of the PC version for Kalypso Media and also the highly entertaining Point-N’-Click adventure Ceville from earlier this year. Tropico 3 is available now on Xbox 360 and PC, release alongside the latest title in the well respected RACE PC series, RACE On and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest from Kalypso Media.
