            With the release date rapidly approaching, Ubisoft have released a new video showcasing the upcoming James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, based upon James Cameron’s forthcoming 3D motion-picture event of the same name. James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is due for release in the UK on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable (PSP) early next month.

            In James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, you arrive on the distant world Pandora having been hand-picked to take part in the Avatar Program, a little known scientific initiative launched by the RDA Corporation, which is mining Pandora for rare minerals. As you venture further into the Pandoran jungle, you learn more about the Na'vi and their struggle with the Corporation to save Pandora. At the flashpoint of this conflict, you must decide where your true allegiance lies: do you fight alongside the RDA, or do you join the Na'vi?

            Electronic Theatre recently delivered a hands-on preview of James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, comparing it to Capcom’s Lost Planet series and stating that, Electronic Theatre Image“while it may be easy to dismiss move tie-in releases without a second thought, Avatar: The Game is a title that currently you would do best to avoid assuming anything about.”

            This new video offers the first official footage of the game’s multiplayer mode released by Ubisoft. Introduced by Patrick Naud, Executive Producer of James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, the footage reveals a number of the specialities of each the RDA Corporation and Na’vi teams. James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is due for release on 4th December 2009 on all formats except the PSP, which will follow a in the following week.
